While what works for a team certainly doesn`t work for every team, many agreements contain rules similar to the following: Describe what the purpose of the exercise is. I gladly use the following introduction and description of what a working agreement is and how it can benefit a team: it is important to think about how you also communicate with stakeholders. How do you reach an agreement when it comes to making commitments and holding each other to account? How will you do this and what language will you use with stakeholders? Make sure that the rules of the work agreement are not dictated by senior management – only your team really knows what they need, so influence should be discarded from the outside.
